Results From ND14 Pro Only Draw/Am Only Draw

The Tavares Shuffleboard Club hosted the ND14 Pro Only Draw/Amateur Only Draw on Jan 4, 2024. Rod Lewis was the Director and Edward Jones and All American Washer Werks were the sponsors. It was very windy and cold but happy players.  We had a few new Amateur players too. The tournament was the largest this season.  It was a very cold start in the 40’s but the sun came out to cheers from the players. This is the first time that I can remember when the amateurs outnumbered the pros 36 to 32. George Snyder earned his 200th point to ensure his position in the Northern District Hall of Fame next year. Congratulations George.

Thank You,

Joseph Inga, President

Northern District Shuffleboard Association

Please read this important 10 Day Notice

“Please see the 10 Day Notice submitted by Bob Robinson of Hawthorne Shuffleboard Club as well as our State Delegate in the email below.  This 10-Day Notice shall be formally read and discussed at the District Meeting on January 20, 2024, and voted on at our March District Meeting.”

Ten Day Notice

I move to strike Northern District  Standing Rule 6 and renumber each rule subsequent to 6.

Robert Robinson

Reason:

We need to be encouraging players to participate in tournaments. Especially our district amateurs need to be allowed to play in tournaments without the risk of the format being changed or the tournament cancelled.

In tournaments with low participation, the host club accepts the responsibility of covering the cost of the director or the director can choose not to be paid. We need to have good tournaments for our District Amateurs.
