ND06 Men’s/Ladies Doubles
PLEASE NOTE:
Leesburg’s Men’s Doubles/Ladies Doubles Tournament on November 2, 2023 will be a special one this year. We have named the tournament The Bob Brandt Memorial Tournament. Bob’s wife together with friends Dave Dean and Yvonne Alberg are sponsoring the tournament for $1200. There will be a short presentation about Bob who was a longtime member of our club and who passed away about three years ago. There will be plaque to have the winner’s names inscribed. We hope many will join us for this special memorial tournament.

Hall of Fame Banquet
Attached is the flyer for the upcoming Hall of Fame Banquet to be held on
January 15, 2024, in Melbourne, Florida. Please distribute amongst your
membership. Joe Inga will have tickets for this event at the Northern District
Meeting this upcoming Saturday if any is interested. The price of the

Based on the forecast for potential problems again for Friday I have canceled our tournament. If the opportunity opens up to reschedule it we can have that discussion. At this time we have lost it for this year.

Based on the weather forecast I have decided to postpone this week’s nd03 Any Doubles Tournament with the plan of starting on this Friday, Oct 13th If it looks like Friday’s weather is going to deteriorate we will be in further contact.

The first State Tournaments of our season were held on 10/9 and 10/10 in Hawthorne. Rod Lewis was the Director and DCO Flooring and All FL Weather were the sponsors. There were 13 Ladies Doubles Teams and 19 Men’s Doubles Teams. Congratulations to all the shufflers especially those from the Northern District.
